A Healthy Weight

Achieving and maintaining a healthy weight is essential in the prevention and reduction of cardiovascular disease risk. Keep in mind that you need to balance your calorie and fat intake, participate in regular physical activity, and have a healthy lifestyle.

It’s recommended that your body mass index, or BMI, is between 18.5–24.9, and that your waist circumference is less than 40 inches for men and less than 35 inches for women.*
